TYPES OF MOUNTS: When ordering shades, you can select either inside or outside mount. Inside mounted shades will have a deduction of approximately 0.4" to ensure they fit properly inside the window frame. To install inside mounted shades, your frame depth must be a minimum of 2 inches. If your frame depth is less than 2 inches, it is recommended to choose the outside mount option. Outside mounted shades should be ordered to match the exact width of the area you wish to cover. This type of mount is often used when there is not enough frame depth for an inside mount. All shades come with the necessary mounting hardware for both inside and outside mounting.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: Step 1 involves measuring the inside frame width at three locations: the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement and use it as the inside width when placing your order. Step 2 requires measuring the height at three locations: the left, middle, and right side. Again, record the smallest measurement and use it for the inside width when ordering your shades.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENTS: Step 1 includes measuring the outside frame width and adding 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. Step 2 involves measuring the outside frame length and adding 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. This overlap is recommended to ensure proper coverage and prevent light gaps.
