MOUNT TYPES: To ensure a proper fit inside the window frame, inside mounted shades will have a deduction of approximately 0.4". A minimum frame depth of 2 inches is required for secure installation of inside mounted shades. If your window frame depth is less than 2 inches, please opt for outside mount. Outside mounted shades should match the exact width of the area you wish to cover and are commonly used when there isn't enough frame depth for inside mounting. Our shades come with all mounting hardware for both inside and outside mount installations.

INSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Measure the inside frame width at three locations: the top, middle, and bottom. Record the smallest measurement as your inside width when ordering. Next, measure the height at three locations: the left, middle, and right side. Record the smallest measurement as your inside height when ordering.

OUTSIDE MOUNT MEASUREMENT: Measure the outside frame width and add 3-6 inches to determine the outside mount width. Measure the outside frame length and add 4-6 inches to determine the outside mount length. A recommended overlap ensures proper coverage and prevents light gaps.
